I’m taking the opportunity to refactor some of the code behind Who’s Playing as part of this, you can check out what I’m actually doing over on my personal blog http://stubblog.wordpress.com, but that’s why I’m taking a little while to implement this feature.

Record some screen casts that show how to use Who's Playing
Lots of other sites have screen casts on them that show how use the site, Who's Playing could do that same.
Add comments to tell us which areas you'd like to see demonstrated.

Add pools of local scratch players
Let people put themselves forward as short-notice players who might fill a hole in a team. Let teams send a message out to the local talent pool.

This wasn’t an area I was going to take the site, but if enough people request it then I’d definitely take a look at that whole area of finding new players & teams.
